Elvie Williams Performs At Carnegie Hall

Elvie Williams, of Jersey City, NJ, will perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the Westminster Symphonic Choir and the San Francisco Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas on Friday, March 26 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Elvie is a student at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J. and a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir.

Recognized as one of the world’s leading choral ensembles, the Westminster Symphonic Choir has performed and recorded with the leading conductors and orchestras of our time. In addition to this performance, the ensemble’s 2009-2010 season has included performances of Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 with the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Alan Gilbert; Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, conducted by Joe Miller; Adams’ El Niño with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, conducted by John Adams; Bach Masterworks with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, conducted by Helmusth Rilling; and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, conducted by Sir Roger Norrington.

Westminster Choir College is a division of Rider University’s Westminster College of the Arts.
